For My Family, Love Allie (Whitman, 1998) is a 32-page interracial family story for children aged four to seven. The main character (Allie, aged seven) tries to find just the right gift to make for relatives coming to a family reunion. Booklist (9/1/98) said, "Senisi's clear color photographs extend the text and are especially effective in conveying Allie's ever-changing emotions. Allie's family is biracial, but that's not really the emphasis here; rather, Senisi concentrates on portraying a loving family that values everyone's contributions and feelings."
